Merry Christmas, Buon Natale, Feliz Navidad, Frohe Weihnachten

This article is written in English because this is the language that most of my readers can understand. Today I want to do some scientific research on the question that is bothering everybody today:

HOW IS SANTA DELIVERING ALL THOSE GIFTS ON TIME???

Well, we are living in the information age, so I searched a bit on the web and found interesing articles on that topic.

Some researchers wonder about „The phyiscs of Santa„. This article estimates that Santa has 48 hours to do his job, other researchers explain how santa delivers presents in one night. A third researcher takes a closer look at the physics of Santa and comes to a very sad conclusion.

Being a very organized person myself I wonder how Santa is organizing his stuff. There is a leaked snapshot of his ToDo-List from 2011 and the GTD Times claims that they have information that Santa is using Lotus Notes for his GTD system. I used Notes some years ago and yes, I really can imagine that he can get his stuff done when he’s using Notes. Thank god he’s not using Outlook for that, otherwise the christmas gifts would be delivered during the Easter holidays.

Some people seem not to be satisfied with Santa’s performance anyway and propose that he might boost his productivity by using Salesforce. Putting Santa to the cloud, really?

Well, Google has installed a Santa Tracker that shows you where Santa actually is tonight. There is also an Android App for tracking Santa. Also NORAD is offering his official version of the Santa Tracker again.

So you still want to tell me that there is no Santa, eh? Let me tell you the secret about the three stages in the life of every man:

  1. You believe in Santa.
  2. You don’t believe in Santa anymore.
  3. YOU ARE SANTA.

So,  I wish you all a peaceful Christmas and a happy new year. Enjoy those days and take the opportunity to relax, to think about your goals and priorities and most important of all, spend some time with the ones you love.
