Total verplant, oder was?

Taking OrgMode to the next level

This is another article about OrgMode and its again in English for the audience of the LinkedIn GTD group. Yes, I confess it. I was a bit envious on  those people that have their ToDo-Lists on paper just for the fact that they have something they can check off and get the satisfaction to see what they have achieved. OrgMode is a nice ToDo-List manager, but once you have marked a task as „DONE“ it will sooner or later get moved to the archive file. And your actual list just contains a lot of TODO entries. So I was desperately thinking about improving this in a way that I can also „check off things“ from an easy list. And then I had an idea.

On the road with MobileOrg

This is another article about the usage of Emacs OrgMode for GTD. Its again written in English for the audience at the LinkedIn GTD group. Orgmode is perfect when you use it on your desktop PC. But sometimes the desktop is not available and you still want to have access to your tasks and capture ideas. This is when MobileOrg kicks in.

Back to text

Some months ago I wrote a review of IQTELL which I used for organizing my life. Then, 2 weeks ago a collauge asked me if I still use orgmode for GTD and I told him that I’m on IQTELL now. He said that orgmode also had improved a lot since I was using it, so I had another look at orgmode. And yes, I felt the spirit again and moved back to orgmode. Here is why I decided to manage my life in plain text again. Weiterlesen
